Relax at Atlantic City's Beaches and Beach Bars
Atlantic City's free beaches provide family fun for all ages, all day long. Lifeguards are on duty from 10am until 6pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day at various locations.
Fishing and surfing are permitted on select beaches, and beach chair and bike rentals are available for resort guests traveling light. Often visitors can also enjoy free live entertainment on the beach, or visit historic Gardner's Basin for summer concert series.
During the summer months, beachgoers can also swing by one of the different beach bars with live entertainment, ice cold tropical drinks, and casual outdoor eating.
Nearby Beach Resorts, Golf, Fishing and Local Attractions
There are also a number of nearby beach communities including Brigantine, Ventnor, Margate and Longport which are all either on or connected to Absecon Island (the barrier Island where Atlantic City is located).
Additionally, Atlantic City is a short car ride from popular beach destinations along the Jersey Shore, including Long Beach Island, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Avalon, Stone Harbor, Wildwood and Cape May. These areas have numerous attractions of their own including beautiful beaches, boardwalks and amusement parks.

Golf vacation packages for casino resort visitors are available.
In addition to a whole host of beach activities, your family can explore the nearby aquatic life in historic Gardner's Basin by spending some time at the Atlantic City Aquarium, taking a dolphin-watching cruise or chartering a deep sea fishing trip where Striped Bass, Tuna, Flounder and Bluefish populate the waters off our coast.
Of course, there is also the famous Atlantic City Boardwalk that includes arcades and amusement park rides on the Steel Pier. Steel Pier first opened in 1898, and sees thousands of visitors each day ready to ride the seaside ferris wheel or roller coaster, race Go Karts on a full race track or try their luck at one of the many iconic boardwalk games.
